EU AI Act and automated decisions
How WavePay uses AI and automation: no automated decisions about people's payments, where AI drafts text or images, human review, and how to ask about or dispute an automated output.
Updated · TeraTech Solutions (Private) Limited
The short version
WavePay is payment infrastructure. It does not use AI to approve, decline, score or profile buyers or merchants. A payment settles because the provider confirms the exact amount, never because a model decided it.
Where automation exists
- Rules, not models: settlement checks, usage metering, rate limits and the crypto quote are deterministic code you can read about in the API reference.
- AI-drafted support replies: where we use AI to draft an answer to a support email, a person reviews it before it is sent to you.
- AI-generated images: illustrations on this site may be AI-generated; they illustrate and do not depict real customers or results.
- Agent access: WavePay offers MCP tools so that AI agents you run can use the API with your keys. Those agents are yours; you remain responsible for what they do.
Classification
On our reading WavePay is not a high-risk AI system under the EU AI Act: it makes no decisions in the high-risk areas of the Act (such as creditworthiness scoring of individuals). If that changes, we will say so here before it ships.
Your rights
If you think an automated output affected you, write to support@t3ratech.co.zw. A person will look at it, explain what happened and correct it where it was wrong.
